FUTURE CLASSICS Silk Blouse Jacket in floral Liberty Print

Ever since I saw, stalked and then bought my first piece by FUTURE CLASSICS I have been absolutely hooked! I've begun collecting pieces like stamps and my bank balance can't handle it any longer!!

I have already sold my beautiful FUTURE CLASSICS clutch (see below) and a few dresses and now I am selling of the next batch of items. Starting with this jacket but with more pieces to follow (including a black silk bondage dress, some knitwear, possibly a couple of jersey pieces and a Goddess Breton Jacket from last season BNWT)

This is a beautiful jacket which I had spotted when the collection came out but didn't think I could afford (I usually save my big buck purchases for shoes and dresses). It's a gorgeous vintage Liberty Print and one of my personal faves! (I still have a pair of cushions in this print that we had in the house when I was growing up).

The dress as featured on the website in the AW08 Look Book

The jacket made up of sections of 100% silk contrasting with panels of 100% cotton which give it enough stretch to really hug the body. The front buttoning section is gorgeous with bags of intricate detail - each button hole has a rectangle of sewn around it in a kind of 'frame' all beautifully hand stitched.

One of my favourite features of the jacket is the fabulous shoulder pads. The structured silk covered shoulder pads are attached to the outside of the jacket to give it that extra 'edge' and almost a 'Balmain'-like look. In the season after this FUTURE CLASSICS built upon this focus on shoulder pads and brought out shoulder pad holsters - this is a softer and more feminine version.

Another of my favourite features is the back of the jacket. Gorgeous silk pleating that spread out towards the bottom (still tacked to remain in place).

The jacket is brand new, unworn with the tags still attached (for now!! beware, leave it too long and I will no longer be able to resist wearing it and once that happens I'll probably fall in love and have to remove the listing!!)

Label has designer name, website and season details (AW08: Anarchia Temporalis), Size (UK 12) and Item number & name (458 SOFT FITTED JACKET W/SHOULDER PADS)

Originally sold for £350 and as it's brand new I have an asking price of £175

Please don't hesitate to contact me for any further information or photographs!

  2. Hello Eleanor, I was hoping for £175 as it was £350 and is still brand new, unworn with labels still attached.
I can send you some more photographs of the jacket if you'd like - I have some from the Future Classics Look Book and photographs I've taken of it.
I also have a black silk bondage dress by Future Classics, a short-sleeved cardigan and one of their breton striped jackets from last season (also still with tags) all of which I am about to photograph and sell if you're interested in the label.
(I'm definitely a Future Classics addict so I'm trying to edit down my collection and weed out pieces I don't or haven't worn!)

  3. Shooting myself in the foot here Eleanor but have just seen that there is a listing on eBay for the same jacket in a smaller size and it's only £90 which is obviously a much better deal than what I'm offering!

Thanks for your interest though and let me know if you want any info on any of the other FUTURE CLASSICS pieces I'm selling!!
    Best xx

  4. thanks so much... yeah I may have to work out my Christmas funds before I commit, however I will definitely keep an eye on your blog and sale items. I love future classics also. Thanks for the heads up on ebay. Maybe if I ever get round to selling my junk then i'd have money for much more beautiful pieces.
    Thanks.
